Market for CDN Products and Services Will
Continue to Grow Says Internet Research Group

Los Altos, Calif., April 30, 2002 – Over the next five years the market for CDN services will continue to grow and will pass $3B in 2006 according to a study released today by Internet Research Group (IRG) of Los Altos, California.

The study, titled The 2002 Content Distribution At The Edge Market Report, bases its growth forecast on executive interviews with leading CDN users, service providers and technology vendors. “While the drop off of dot-coms and the recession took its toll and caused a significant shakeout, overall CDN network usage grew and will continue to grow,” says IRG principal and co-founder John Katsaros. “Here and going forward, usage goes just goes up.”
